Leek, Netherlands

( Listen? / I ) Leek is a municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of Groningen, with 19,606 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) on an area of ​​65 km ².

By the year 1938 there was a tram line that was used from 1957 until 1985 for freight from Drachten to Groningen. The trains ran, at that time in the middle of town on the main road Leeks. In 1987 the line was abandoned.
