Lehtimäki

Lehtimäki [ lɛhtimæki ] is a former municipality in the west of Finland. In early 2009 it was incorporated into the city Alajärvi.

Lehtimäki located in the countryside 29 km south of the Southern Ostrobothnia core city of Alajärvi. The former municipality of Lehtijärvi has an area of ​​288.8 km ². The population was most recently in 1849. The community was monolingual Finnish speakers.

The Church of Lehtimäki was built in 1800 according to plans by Jacob Rijf. There is a wooden church with a cruciform floor plan. The separate bell stack is from the year 1835.
