Leichenwetter

Leichenwetter a music group founded in 1996 in Iserlohn, the poems of deceased German poet is set to music in the style of the New German hardness and gothic metal.

History

Leichenwetter was founded in 1996 by the two musicians Dawe and Numen, who had the concern, set to music texts late German poet in an unconventional way and so bring to life again.

Under pseudonyms such as " Dawe " ( electric guitar ) or " Numen " (vocals ) they published in 1998, the CD works night and were represented in the following period on several compilations.

In March 1999, more musicians completed under her stage name " Rudiator " (keyboards until 2008), " Al- Yo- Sher " (guitar until 2003), " Sir Pent " (E -Bass until 2000) and " Wahnfried " (drums to 2000 ) the composition of the group to allow Leichenwetter also stage performances beyond studio recordings.

2001 was followed by an EP entitled Beauty is rough, the percussion parts were already recorded with the new drummer " rawen ". In October 2008 came the former Phantoms of Future keyboardist " Voigt " to the group, after keyboardist " Rudiator " left the band for personal reasons after nine years. In May of 2009 rose Cpt.Loft ( until then, the band's bassist ), since it was not possible for him due to job change to participate in the band. From July 2009 was Doc. Bawin on bass. The band split up in August 2010 due to internal differences of Doc Bawin. Since the beginning of October 2010, the Bass by Lord Hur is operated. In addition to " Leichenwetter " Lord Hur is also in the band " Acrid Tones" active.

On 15 October 2010 the new album Legend was released by the label Echozone. In conjunction with the release of Legend Leichenwetter also placed permanently off their masks, which were over ten years an integral part of their concept.

In May 2011 the CD " Time Machine" appear and the DVD " time travel" to the 15 year anniversary of the band. Travel time includes re-recordings of selected older songs of the band. The DVD contains a live concert.

Style

A striking feature of Leichenwetter is the powerful, melodic vocals of musical experienced singer Numen, which stands out next to the otherwise quite gloomy and powerful tones. Musically is set to a combination of genre typical heavy metal guitar figures and electro synth -heavy sequences. Since late 2008, use Leichenwetter also amplified orchestral sounds.
