Leif Kristian Haugen

Leif Kristian Haugen (born 29 November 1987 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian ski racer. He specializes in the disciplines of giant slalom and slalom. His sister Kristine is also alpine ski racer.

Biography

Haugen graduated its first FIS race in November 2002. European Cup in he started for the first time in March 2005, he scored his long time best finish in November 2007, with rank 12 in the indoor competition of Landgraaf. At the Junior World Cup in 2006, he reached the fifth rank in the combined score.

Because of his business degree at the University of Denver Haugen started from March 2008 mainly in the north -Am Cup. On January 5, 2009, he celebrated in the giant slalom at Sunday River his first win in this series. On 25 October 2009 he played on the Rettenbachferner in Sölden his first World Cup race; than 26 of the was holding giant slalom he won his first World Cup points at once. In February 2010, Haugen participated in the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, where he was 28th in the giant slalom, but failed in the slalom.
