Leila Piccard

Leila Piccard ( born January 11, 1971 in Les Saisies ) is a French former alpine skier. She was one of the strongest technicians in the second half of the 1990s.

The Piccard family was represented several times in the 90s in the Ski World Cup, alongside Leila were also Olympic champion Franck Piccard and the brothers John ( b. 1965 ), Ian ( b. 1968 ) and Jeff ( b. 1976 ) of the race action - brother Ted is ski crossers.

Your only World Cup victory celebrated Leila Piccard in Tignes, where she won the parallel slalom on 24 October 1997. They also reached three times the 3rd place. From 1993 to 1999 Piccard took part in the World Championships. The most valuable result they achieved at the 1997 World Series in Sestriere in the giant slalom. After it was located on the 1st run in 13th place, they drove the fastest time in the second run. This advanced Piccard currently up to 3rd place and won behind Deborah Compagnoni and Karin Red bronze medal. At Olympic Games, where she took part in 1994 and 1998, it remained without result.
