Leisel Jones

Leisel Marie Jones ( born August 30, 1985 in Katherine, Queensland, Australia) is an Australian swimmer.

Career

Leisel Jones was already 15 years a member of the Australian swimming team in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. With the World Swimming Championships in 2003, she swam the 100m breast- new world record. At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 -meter medley relay. In addition, Jones won the silver medal over 200 m breaststroke and bronze over 100m breaststroke.
