Leislau is a district of the municipality Molauer country in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

Geography

Leislau located between Jena and Naumburg ( Saale).

For the former municipality Leislau the districts Crauschwitz included ( on July 1, 1961, after Leislau incorporated ) and small Gestewitz ( on 1 January 1956, following Crauschwitz amalgamated ).

History

Until 1952 Leislau belonged to Thuringia.

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Leislau, Casekirchen, Abtlöbnitz and Molau merged to form the new municipality Molauer country.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

Directly by the municipality runs the federal highway 88, which runs from Jena and Naumburg ( Saale). The district Crauschwitz was joined by the former railway line Zeitz - Camburg to the surrounding places.
