Leisure (Album)

Occupation

  • Guitar: Graham Coxon
  • Bass: Alex James
  • Drums: Dave Downtree

Leisure is the debut album by British rock band Blur. It was released on August 26, 1991 in England and with a slightly different track list a month later in the United States.

Description

At leisure you can hear the influences of shoegaze and Manchester Rave, who just drove through their highlights to the formation time of the album in the UK. Damon Albarn sings with a lot of reverb and echo effects in the voice and the songs seem all very worn and transfigured. The second single from the album There's No Other Way Blur had already reached the top 10 of the UK singles chart and also met with the U.S. and in Germany on a first echo.
