Leith Hill

Leith Hill south west of Dorking in Surrey is 294 m, the highest point on the Greensand Ridge and after Walbury Hill, the second highest mountain in South East England.
On the mountain is 851 Aethelwulf of Wessex, father of Alfred the Great beat the Danes, as this pulled on her rampage of Canterbury and London to Winchester
Leith Hill Tower
On the Leith Hill is that of Richard Hull 1765 - as Prospect House, built in 1766 and now known as Leith Hill Tower Tower. The tower is 19.5 m high and has 2 rooms. The tower was renovated in 1984 by the National Trust.
Leith Hill House
Not far from Leith Hill is the Leith Hill House, in which the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams grew up.
