Lemon law

U.S., national consumer protection laws that the duty to the buyer justify for the seller of a motor vehicle to stand up for deficiencies of the motor vehicle, carry the designation Lemon Laws, the colloquial expression lemon for a Monday car ( see also The Market for Lemons ).

The Lemon Laws differ in different states, and they do not necessarily regulate the trade in used and leasing vehicles. The rights that are the buyer attributed by the Lemon Laws, can constitute a contractual guarantee rights beyond.
