Lemsterland

( Listen / i?) Lemsterland ( Frisian: Lemsterlân ) was a municipality in the southern part of the province of Friesland (Netherlands). She had 13,565 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The merger of the former municipalities Gaasterlân - Sleat, Lemsterland and Skarsterlân established on 1 January 2014, the new congregation De Friese Meren.

The administrative headquarters was Lemmer, other places in the former rural community are: Bantega, Delfstrahuizen, skipjack, Echtenerbrug, Eesterga, Follega, Oosterzee and Oosterzee Buren.
