Len Sutton

Lenard Sutton, Len Sutton, ( born August 9, 1925 in Aims, Oregon, † December 4, 2006 in Portland, Oregon) was an American race car driver.

Sutton started 1955-1965 75 times in the USAC Championship Car and AAA series. Among other things, 1958-1962, 1964 and 1965 at the Indianapolis 500 race. The three Indy 500 race in 1958, 1959 and 1960, there were to be the state meet as a World Championship, Formula 1 Thus the name Lenard Sutton emerged in these years in the Formula 1 statistics, although he at any this race to retire prematurely. He finished in his career of 43 races in the top ten, three times he won. He celebrated his greatest success when he was in Indianapolis In second place in 1962, behind Rodger Ward.

On 4 December 2006 Lenard Sutton died age of 81 in Portland ( Oregon) after a long battle with cancer.
