Lena Stolze

Lena Stolze ( born August 8, 1956 in Berlin) is an Austrian actress, who lives in Germany and works mainly in Germany.

Life

Lena Stolze was born in East Berlin, the daughter of actress Gabi Proud and the tenor Gerhard Stolze. In August 1961, the family left the GDR and moved to Vienna. 1974 Proud studied German literature and art history in Munich, 1975, she began her training at the Max -Reinhardt-Seminar in Vienna, 1976, she committed Rudolf Noelte for his production of Gerhart Hauptmann's The rats at the Freie Volksbühne in Berlin. In the same year she played under Kurt Hübner Recha in Lessing's Nathan the Wise ( with Will Quadflieg in the title role) and the Schiller Theater in Hans Lietzau the Leontine in Hauptmann's The Beaver fur. From 1977, she was at the Vienna Burgtheater, to 1984 at the Residenz Theater in Munich, 1984-1992 ensemble member of the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. She worked at the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and several times at the Salzburg Festival.

Film career

Lena Stolze was also outside the theater with the role of Sophie Scholl in The White Rose by Michael Verhoeven, her first feature film, known in 1982. That same year she also played the Sophie Scholl in Percy Adlon's film last five days. For both films, she received a German Film Award. Another great international success was pride comedic interpretation of Passauerin Sonja (actually Anna Elisabeth Rosmus ) in Michael Verhoeven's film The Nasty Girl (1990). The film was nominated for an Oscar, and Proud again received numerous awards and their second German Film Award. Lena Stolze played since then in numerous theatrical and television films.

She is a juror at the Film Academy and the European Film Awards.
