Lenawee County, Michigan

Lenawee County is a county located in the state of Michigan in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Adrian.

Geography

The County is located in the southeast of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, on the south by Ohio, is in the east about 35 km from Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes, away and has an area of ​​1972 square kilometers, of which 28 square kilometers are water surface. History

Lenawee County was formed in 1822 from parts of Monroe County. It was named after a word in the Indian language.
