Lendinara

Lendinara is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 12,023 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto. The community is directly adjacent to the province of Padua and is located approximately 14.5 km west of Rovigo and about 27 kilometers north of Ferrara. On the northern edge of the community of the Adige flows. Lendinara is thus part of the poles Sine, the region between Adige and Po. History

Lendinara is originally a Celtic foundation. Numerous archaeological finds prove a rich settlement. The village was first mentioned 870. 1246 the place of Ezzelino da Romano is devastated.

Traffic

Lendinara Located on the Strada Statale 499 Just south of the municipality runs the Strada Statale 434 Transpolesana, east of the Autostrada A31 from Padua to Bologna. Is a train station on the non-electrified rail route from Verona to Rovigo. The former railway station in Ramodipalo is now closed.
