Lene Rantala

Lene Rantala ( born August 10, 1968 in Gladsaxe ) is a Danish handball goalkeeper.

Club career

After Rantala had played in their home for FIF and Braband, she moved in 1994 to the Norwegian club dead HK. Two years later she joined IK Junkeren. Since 1997 Rantala plays in Larvik HK, with whom she won a number of national and international titles.

In the championship game of the Posten between Selbu IL and Larvik HK, which ended 12:38 ( 11:14 ) Lene Rantala only allowed for a goal in the second half.

National

Rantala has played a total of 226 operations, the second most caps for the Danish women's national handball team. With Denmark she won each of the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games and the Olympic Games 2000. Moreover, they won the European Championship in 1994, the 1996 European Championships, the World Cup in 1997 and the European Championships in 2002.
