Leni Parker

Leni Parker ( born November 5, 1966 in New Brunswick) is a Canadian theater, film and television actress.

Life and career

Parker, whose mother was a high school teacher, grew up in her birthplace and moved to Toronto, where she studied at Concordia University drama later. After she had completed a three-year study acting, she worked for ten years as a theater actress at Pigeons International Theatre. She played among others in the piece you sang sur le cou du chat by Rainer Werner Fassbinder and in Savage Love by Sam Shepard.

Parker also acted in numerous movies and television films. Her first film role was in 1988 in the Canadian feature film Horses in winter. It went on to star and major supporting roles in American and Canadian productions.

In 1994, she played the socialite Beatrice Kaufmann in the social satire Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle, 1995 Corporal McDonald in Screamers - Deadly screams and 2000 Anya in Eisenstein. Special Parker gained fame through their involvement in the television series Earth: Final Conflict. She played there from 1997 to 2001 as Da'an in a total of 88 episodes with.

For her theater work, Parker has won several awards. She received in 1992 at the Theatre Critics of Quebec awards the prize for Best Actress in a Supporting Role ( Best Supporting Actress ) for her role as La Bonne in the play Perdus dans les coquelicots. In 2007 she won the Mecca Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Albertine in Assorted Candies at the Centaur Theatre in Montreal, province of Quebec.
