Lennart Hellsing
Lennart Hellsing ( born June 5, 1919 in Fagersta, Västmanland Province) is a Swedish writer and translator.
Life
Hellsing books whose texts usually consist of rhymes are popular in Sweden for several generations, and his characters are well known. Also, in the last decades of the 20th century, he is thereby further been known that many of his rhymes were reproduced in school textbooks for the first years of school. Hellsing was a member of the Swedish Academy children's book in the past few years.
Since 1953, he is married to Swedish actress Yvonne Lombard.
Works
Lennart Hellsing first children's book was published in 1945 under the title Katten Blaser i silver horn ( German: The cat blows the horn silver ). His books have been illustrated among others by Stig Lindberg, Poul Ströyer and Ulrica Hydman- Vallien. At translations should be mentioned, among others, Hellsing outstanding transmission of Wilhelm Busch's Max and Moritz.
