Lennart Wing

Lennart Wing ( born August 7, 1935) is a former Swedish football player.

Career

Wing played for Örgryte IS first in the Division 2 in 1958 succeeded with the team promotion to the Allsvenskan. Here played the defender until the season end of the season 1964. In January 1965, he joined together with Örjan Persson to Dundee United to Scotland. Here he played until the spring of 1967 and met nine times in 67 games. He then returned to Sweden to Örgryte IS. His career could finally end with Kungsbacka BI.

Wing stepped 1961-1965 in 36 appearances for Sweden. Participation in major tournaments was denied him, only in qualification for the European Championship in 1964, the quarter-finals was achieved. However, a 1-1 draw and a 1-3 defeat against the Soviet Union meant missing the finals.
