Lenne, Lower Saxony

Lenne is a municipality in the district of Minden wood in Lower Saxony ( Germany ). To Lenne include the districts Vorwohle and Linne plan.

Geography

Lenne lies between the two mountain ranges Ith and Vogler at the Lenne. The community belongs to the Samtgemeinde Eschershausen City Oldendorf, which has its headquarters in the City Oldendorf.

History

In 1580 the church was mentioned as sand -pits in a document.

Religions

The Evangelical Lutheran Thomas Church was built in 1964-68, it belongs to the parish church in Wangelnstedt Circle Wood Minden- ground Werder.

Built in 1705 Protestant chapel, used from 1968 as a Catholic Chapel of St. Anna, was closed and is now used as a residence.

Traffic

Lenne is located on the country road L 583 impinging on the federal highway 64 in the municipal area. The village also lies on the railway line Altenbeken - Kreiensen, the passenger train station in 1987 but was abandoned.
