Lenny (Album)

Lenny is the sixth studio album by Lenny Kravitz. The first single from Dig In Kravitz led to the profit for the fourth Grammy Award for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance in a row. In 2003 he was nominated for If I Could Fall In Love for the fifth time for a Grammy, but could not win the prize.

On the origin

After the successful album 5 with the hit Fly Away and the equally successful album Greatest Hits, he went to Miami, Florida, where, with few exceptions, he wrote and produced the album grossed lenny.

Success

The album reached # 12 on the Billboard 200, number five on the German charts, number one in Austria and number three in Switzerland. The Slant Magazine wrote, " Kravitz adds layer upon layer, creating a minimalist one-man show of acoustic and electric guitars, live percussion and drum programming. Most striking are " Believe in Me " and the spiritual " You Were in My Heart, " a track filled with swirling synthesizer and a subtle yet momentous string arrangement. "
