Lenticular galaxy

A Lenticular Lenticular galaxy or galaxy is the galaxy classification, an intermediate type of elliptical galaxy and a spiral galaxy.

Lenticular galaxies are disk galaxies like spiral galaxies, which consumes most of their interstellar matter or have lost (like elliptical galaxies ). Because of their shorter arms is difficult in a top view, a distinction for elliptic galaxy.

Hubble Classification of Lenticular galaxies are S0, SB0, E8, the de Vaucouleurs classification adds SA0, SAB0.
