Léo Joannon

Léo Joannon ( born August 21, 1904 in Aix -en- Provence, † March 28, 1969 in Neuilly -sur -Seine ) was a French film director and screenwriter.

Life

Léo Joannon studied law and worked as a lawyer before he came to the film after the beginning of the sound film era. Joannons work included melodramas, comedies, dramas and thrillers war. From the criticism of his films were classified as rather superficial and trashy way, a special case " The Renegade " with Pierre Fresnay in a lead role, which was rated as " deeply moving film about the ' captive of the Catholic priesthood .'"
