Leo Penn
Leo Penn ( born August 27, 1921 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, † September 5, 1998 in Los Angeles ) was an American film director, actor, screenwriter and film producer.
Leo Penn, father of Sean, Chris actor and musician Michael Penn worked as a director for many television series. He stepped in some series, in which he directed, as a guest performer on. For a sequence of Ben Casey, he wrote the screenplay as well as for episodes of the series Studio One. During the McCarthy era, he stood for a long time on the Black List. He was married twice; First a short time with the actress Olive Deering, and between 1958 and his death in 1998 with Eileen Ryan. With her he had three sons. Leo Penn died of lung cancer.
