Leo Randolph

Leo Randolph ( born February 27, 1958 in Columbus ( Ohio) ) is a retired American boxer. In 1976 he became Olympic champion in the flyweight.

Amateur

Randolph earned his first amateur fight at the age of nine years. In 1976 he was U.S. champion and won the Golden.Gloves tournament. Then he sat down by the Olympic qualifying and took for the USA at the Olympic Games in Montreal. There, he won 18- year gold medal in the flyweight. He won the semi-final against the Polish bronze medalist of Munich, Leszek Błażyński, and in the final with 3:2 Judge voices against the Cuban winner of the Pan American Games in 1975, Ramón Duvalón.

His record was 160-7.

Professional

Randolph 1978 pro and lost one of his construction fights. On 4 May 1980 he won against Ricardo Cardona the WBA super bantamweight title, but lost early in his first title defense and then ended after just two years as a professional boxer at the age of 22 years of his career.

Others

Randolph now works as a bus driver and supervisor in public transport in Pierce County, Washington.
