Leonard Talmy

Leonard Talmy is an American linguist.

Leonard Talmy studied at the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned BA degrees in 1963 and in 1972 the Ph.D. His area of ​​research is the cognitive linguistics, especially Typology and Universals of the semantics of natural languages. He has his research focuses among others on American Indian languages ​​and Yiddish. He is an emeritus professor of linguistics and philosophy at the University at Buffalo.
