Leonardo Bistolfi
Leonardo Bistolfi ( born March 14, 1859 in Casale Monferrato, † September 2, 1933 in La Loggia ), was an Italian sculptor, painter, writer and politician. He was a major representative of the Italian symbolism.
He was a son of the wood-carver Giovanni Bistolfi and Angela AMISANO. In 1876 he enrolled in the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. From 1880 he studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin.
