Leonhard Kaufmann

Leonhard Kaufmann (born 12 January 1989 in Güssing ) is an Austrian football player at the position of midfielder. He currently plays for SK Sturm Graz in the Austrian Football Bundesliga.

Career

Kaufmann began his football career at the Styrian football club UFC Fehring. After good performances in the province club brought him the SK Sturm Graz in his youth department. After a few years in the youth of the black-white he came in 2006 to the storm amateurs, in the third class Regionalliga Mitte. Under Franco Foda as an amateur coach, he has matured and 2007, this time under Foda as head coach of the professional team, businessman came to his debut in the highest Austrian league. In the game between SK Rapid Wien and Sturm in the 10th round of the young Styrian came in the 90th minute when the score was 5:1 for storm for Thomas Krammer into play. With start of the season 2009/10 Kaufmann moved within the Bundesliga SK Austria Kärnten. After 34 league games and scored five goals Kaufmann transferred during the summer break before the 2010/11 season within the league to Upper Austria to LASK Linz. With both clubs Kaufmann had to dismount.

In summer 2012, Leonhard Kaufmann moved free transfer to his hometown club SK Sturm Graz. Kaufmann received a contract until 2014.
