Leonhard Pohl

Leonhard "Leo" Pohl ( born July 18, 1929 in Olsztyn ) is a retired German sprinter.

At the European Athletics Championships in Berne in 1954 he finished fourth in the 100 -meter run. In the 4 x 100 - meter relay and in the 200 -meter run, he retired from each in the preliminary round.

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 he was part of the German team that won the bronze medal in 40.3 s in the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the cast Lothar Knörzer, Pohl, Heinz Fütterer and Manfred Germar. At the same games as he reached the semifinals in the 200 -meter run.

At the German Championships, he came in the 100 and 200 meter runner in 1954 and 1955 and in 1957 a third party.

Leonhard Pohl was a member of the TSV Pfungstadt.
