Life

Dobytschin was the son of a doctor and a nurse. He grew up in Dvinsk and was given the opportunity to finish school. He left behind a comparatively narrow work, through which he came into conflict with the official literature of the Soviet Union, whose vision of the future he could not make the program. His novel The City of N. designated by the Stalinist criticism as " formalistic ". After a meeting of the Leningrad Writers' Association, on the which had been discussed, Dobytschin disappeared on March 26, 1936., He wrote a friend a letter in which he asked him to settle with the bequeathed money some debt, because he was going " far away ". Since then we have heard nothing of him; his body was not found.
