Leonidi (Greek Λεωνίδι (n. sg ), Katharevousa: . Leonidion ) is a small town with about 4,000 inhabitants in Arcadia in the Peloponnese in Greece.

By 2010 Leonidi was an independent municipality, since 1947 the borough ( dimos ), which had grown by 1997 to about 6,000 inhabitants incorporations. On 1 January 2011, the municipality Leonidi went on in the newly created municipality Notia Kynouria, where she has since formed a municipality and the administrative headquarters provides.

Leonidi located on the edge of the estuary of the River Daphnon, about four kilometers from the coast of the sea Myrtoischen. The part belonging to Leonidi fishing and harbor village called Plaka.

In remote mountain villages of Parnon in the triangle Leonidi - Astros - Sparta, the ancient Doric dialect has received Tsakonisch.

About seven kilometers from the main town is erected into a rock wall mountain monastery Moni Agiou Nikolaou Sintzas.

The German classical philologist and linguist Michael Deffner (1848-1934) is an honorary citizen of Leonidi.
