Leontion

Leon Transportation ( Greek Λεόντιον ) was in the late 4th and / or early 3rd century BC, living, distinguished by beauty, spirit and high education Athenian courtesan.

Leon desk was a follower, maybe mistress of the Greek philosopher Epicurus. You dared to defend the philosophy of Epicurus in a (lost), written in good Attic writing against Theophrastus, and was therefore attacked literary, such as Cicero and Pliny the Elder. Diogenes Laertius mentions that Epicurus letters addressed to her, and also provides a tight fragment.

A friend of Epicurus, Metrodorus, used with Leon ion a relationship and had with her a son. A daughter named Leon Auditions Danaë was a confidante of the Seleucid queen Laodice; but this was later murdered Danaë because of a quarrel.

That Cicero Auditions Leon paid tribute to style praise and that they may not otherwise completely fell prey to oblivion, suggesting a highly intelligent woman. However, the tradition position is so bad about them, that their life and work can be detected only very vague.
