Leopold Ackermann

Leopold Ackermann ( born November 17 1771 in Vienna, † September 9, 1831 ibid; Monastery Name: Peter Fourerius ) was an Austrian Catholic theologian.

Life

Leopold Ackermann joined on October 10, 1790 at the Augustinian Canons of Stift Klosterneuburg. The following year he entered the University of Vienna, for a four-year study of theology. He was then priests in Stiftshof in Vienna and a professor of archeology. 1800 appointed librarian of the pen, one and two years later received his doctorate him to the doctor. A University of Hungary awarded him its honorary doctorate. The University of Vienna presented him in 1806 as a professor of the Old Testament. He held until his death on September 9, 1831 by a stroke the spot.
