Leroy Dixon

Leroy Dixon ( born June 20, 1983 in South Bend, Indiana) is an American track and field athlete.

The biggest success of his career, he celebrated as a member of the U.S. 4 x 100 - meter relay. At the World Athletics Championships 2007 in Osaka, he won jointly with Darvis Patton, Wallace Spearmon and Tyson Gay, the gold medal in the Weltjahresbestzeit of 37.78 s before the squadrons from Jamaica and the UK.

At the World Indoor Championships in Valencia in 2008 he reached the semi-finals in the 60 - meter dash. In the U.S. knockouts ( Trials ) for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he drew up a new personal best of 10.02 s in the quarter-final round. As an overall sixth in the Trials, however, he eventually failed to qualify for the Olympic team.

Leroy Dixon has a contest weight of 72 kg at a height of 1.78 m. He is coached by John Smith.
