Leroy Hutson

Leroy Hutson ( born June 4, 1945 in Newark, New Jersey ) is an American soul singer, composer, music producer and songwriter.

Life

Leroy Hutson grew up in New Jersey. Here he started first unsuccessful attempts to establish local vocal bands. Since 1967, he had in common with Donny Hathaway member of the Mayfield Singers, who released a single for Curtis Mayfield. In 1970, he studied at Howard University, Washington, DC, where he shared a room with Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack attended courses with.

After Donny Hathaway Hit The Ghetto, where he had worked, he was from 1970-1973 successor of Curtis Mayfield in the group The Impressions. Since 1973, he released several solo albums, the most famous Love Oh Love (1973) and The Man! (1974 ) are.

Since 1992, Leroy Hutson has retired from the music business.
