Leroy Warriner
Leroy E. Warriner (* March 1, 1919 in Indianapolis, Indiana; † January 2, 2003 ) was an American race car driver.
Warriners career was limited almost exclusively to Midget car racing. Here he won the U.S. Championship -wide in 1953. Early 1950s he also drove race in Australia and New Zealand ..
For the 500 miles of Indianapolis, he tried seven times to qualify in vain. His only start in the highest U.S. motorsport class he graduated in 1953 at the ISF at the Indiana State Fair Ground. He finished 18th and last place and was the only vehicle that excluded prematurely.
After his retirement he operated together with Gene Hartley 1962-1977 Indy Speedrome.
