Les McKeown

Leslie Richard McKeown ( born November 12, 1955 in Edinburgh, Scotland) was from 1973 to 1978 lead singer of the Bay City Rollers.

In 1973 he left the band Threshold to go as the singer of the Bay City Rollers. After the scooter - time and the break with the band, he tried his hand at a solo career. In Japan he was going successfully, while he did not convince Europe to the success of his former band.

In the late 1980s he succeeded in Germany with producer Dieter Bohlen return to the charts. His first single " She's A Lady" ( D # 38) was also found on the debut album of Blue System. It was followed by " Love Is Just A Breath Away " ( D # 44) " Love Hurts And Love Heals " ( D # 47) and " It's A Game" ( D # 33) from the soundtrack of " rivals the race course " ( second place the German charts ).

Half of the songs on his album " The First Album " produced Leslie himself: " Looking For Love ", " Natural Lover", "I Need Your Love" and "I'll Be Your Lover ". After the album it was quiet around Leslie.

His latest single, "Nobody Makes Me Crazy ( Like You Do) " was published ( as an album track) in a version of Blue System and was another song by Dieter Bohlen.

With four of his five singles he was also placed in the top 50.

In 1990 he participated in the British preselection for the Euro Vision Song Contest with " Ball and Chain " part, but only landed at No. 5

2005 toured Les McKeown with a scooter - sequel, and is also the owner of a karaoke clubs in Munich, which he runs together with photographer Wolfgang Heilemann.
