Les Scheinflug

Les bill Flight ( born October 1, 1938 in Biickeburg ) is a former Australian football player and coach of German origin.

In 1955 he emigrated with his parents to Australia. In 1961 he returned for a short time back in his hometown.

During the football World Cup in 1974 in his native country, he served as an assistant coach for Australia's national team, which completely composed of amateurs and even took part for the first time at a World Cup finals. Here they met in the preliminary round, inter alia, the crews of the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR.

In 1981, he was then for three years head coach of the Australian national team. Later, he jumped four times (1983, 1990, 1992 and 1994 ) as the interim coach. Overall, he was responsible for the Socceroos in 21 international matches as coach and reached it 15 wins.

In addition to several engagements with Australian clubs he coached in 2002 and the selection of Fiji.
