Les Stentors

Les stentors are a French vocal quartet, consisting of two baritones and two tenors.

Quartet

The quartet was founded in 2010 by opera singer Sébastien Lemoine.

The name " Les stentors " ( German: " The Stentore ") is derived from the Greek word Stentor. According to Greek mythology, a Stentor was a fighter in the Trojan War, whose voice was said to be so loud as that of fifty other men together.

  • Mathieu Sempere, from the Languedoc -Roussillon (Montpellier)
  • Vyanney Guyonnet, from Picardy (L' Oise )
  • Mowgli Laps, from Guadeloupe

Their debut album, Voyage en France occupied in May and June 2012 three weeks # 1 on the French charts and was recognized for more than 100,000 copies sold with a platinum record.
