Les Wampas

Les Wampas is a French psychobilly band that was founded in 1983. The group was especially known by its frontman and songwriter Didier Wampas ( real name Didier Chappedelaine ). This often sings intentionally very high and wrong, so that his voice has a high recognition value. The live concerts of the band are known for Chapedelaines energetic stage show and his ability to sway crowds. Since the release of the album "Kiss" (2000), he hugs after each performance for an audience and gives this a kiss on both cheeks.

Their most successful songs were " Manu Chao " (after the same artist) in 2003, reached the 20th place of the French charts, and in February 2006, " Chirac en prison " (No. 46).
