Leshan (Chinese乐山市/乐山市, pinyin Leshan Shì, Freudenberg ') is a Chinese city in Sichuan province on the southwestern edge of the Red Basin, about 130 km south of Chengdu. The administrative area of the prefecture-level city has an area of 12,826 km ² and almost 3.48 million inhabitants ( end of 2004).

Attractions

At the confluence of three rivers Min Jiang, Dadu and Qingyi, the biggest attraction Leshan, the Great Buddha, which was carved 719-803 by Buddhist monks from the rock is.
