Leslie Feinberg

Leslie Feinberg ( born September 1, 1949 in Kansas City ) is an American author and LGBT activist.

Feinberg is a leading member of the American Workers World Party and the main editor of Workers World. Furthermore, Feinberg committed to the Camp Trans and received an honorary doctorate from Starr King School for the Ministry for its work on transgender and social commitment. As an author Feinberg writes about LGBT issues. For the novel Stone Butch Blues Feinberg received the Stonewall Book Award. This novel is not autobiographical.

Feinberg was born a woman and underwent transgender hormone treatment. Feinberg's partner is the lesbian poet Minnie Bruce Pratt.
