Leslie Frazier

Leslie Antonio Frazier ( born April 3, 1959 in Columbus, Mississippi) is an American professional American football coach. He is the defensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in derNational Football League ( NFL) and was previously three years the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. Prior to his coaching career, he played four years as a cornerback for the Chicago Bears.

Career

Player

Frazier began his career in 1981 with the Bears. He played five seasons as a cornerback as well as rare as a safety. The highlight of his playing career was his victory in Super Bowl XX. During this final, he suffered a serious knee injury that forced him to end of his career.

Trainier

In 1988 he took over the college team of Trinity International University. He formed the team as head coach for nine seasons long. In 1996 he left the Trinity University towards Illinois. At the University of Illinois, he worked for two years as coach of the defensive backs.

Andy Reid took Leslie Frazier in 1999 as defensive backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. Back in Philadelphia, he worked with the later head coach of the Vikings, Brad Childress. In 2003 he moved to the Cincinnati Bengals. He took over for one season coordinating the defensive line, which introduced the third strongest defense of the season with 36 ball conquests. In 2005, he then remained for one year at the Indianapolis Colts, where he in turn was responsible for the defensive backs.

Frazier came in 2007 under the direction of Brad Childress of the Minnesota Vikings. He took over the position of defensive coordinator, after his predecessor Mike Tomlin was hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers head coach. In 2009 he extended his contract for another year and Childress nominated him in the episode as an assistant coach ( Assistant Head Coach).

After the dismissal of Brad Childress, he took over the post of transitional head coaches at the Vikings. After the season 2013 season with only five wins in ten defeats and a draw, Frazier was released in January 2014 by the Minnesota Vikings. A few days later undertook the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Frazier as defensive coordinator.
