Leslie Griffiths

Leslie John Griffiths, Baron Griffiths of Burry Port, (* February 15, 1942 ) is a Methodist minister and life peer in the House of Lords, where he sits for Labour.

Griffiths 1963 preacher in his home town. He studied at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, graduating in 1969 with a Master of Arts in Theology; same time, he was educated at Wesley House for Methodist pastor. In the 1970s, he lived most of the time in Haiti, where he was ordained and then returned to Britain to serve in communities in Essex and Golders Green. 1987 received his doctorate in philosophy Griffiths at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He was the 1994/95 President of the Methodist Conference.

Since 1996 he has been superintendent of Wesley 's Chapel in London. In 2004, he was raised as Baron Griffiths of Burry Port for Life Peer.
