Let It Bleed is the eighth studio album released in the UK by the Rolling Stones. In the U.S. it was notified on 29 November and in the UK on 5 December 1969 as a successor of the album Beggars Banquet on the market. As a producer Jimmy Miller drew back in charge. It is the last album that Brian Jones, a founding member of the Rolling Stones was involved.

Genesis

The recordings took place from February to October 1969 at Olympic Studios in London, only the song "You Can not Always Get What You Want" was recorded on 16 and 17 November 1968 ie before the release of Beggars Banquet. Most guitar parts were played by Keith Richards, Brian Jones of drug- damaged was involved only in two songs, he played the autoharp on " You Got the Silver " and the Conga, an African hand drum in "Midnight Rambler ". His successor, Mick Taylor was heard only in "Country Honk " and "Live With Me". You Got the Silver was the first single sung by Keith Richards title on a Stones album. On bootleg versions of the album is to hear a version with Mick Jagger. This song was used in the soundtrack of the film Zabriskie Point.

Name

Originally, the album Sticky Fingers should be called, this item then got the LP from 1971.

Guest musicians

The Stones were supported by a number of guest musicians on this album again, these included, inter alia, Nicky Hopkins and Dave Mason. Let It Bleed is considered by many critics and fans as one of the best albums the Rolling Stones. The German edition of Rolling Stone chose it in November 2004 at number 13 its list of the " 500 Greatest Albums of All Time ". The U.S. edition of Rolling Stone voted the album at number 32
