Letenye

Letenye ( Letinja Croatian, Slovenian Letina ) is a Hungarian town in Zala county. The city is the administrative center of the small area Letenye.

Geographical location

Letenye is about 1 km from the left bank of the Mur, which forms the border with Croatia here. About the Autópálya M7 is about 230 km to the Hungarian capital Budapest. About the Autocesta A4 there are nearly 100km to the Croatian capital Zagreb.

History

Letenye was first documented in 1314.
