Letino

Letino is an Italian village with 713 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in the Campania region. It is part of the Comunità Montana del Matese. The village was famous by the anarchist uprising in 1877, which was led by Errico Malatesta, Carlo Cafiero and Pietro Cesare Ceccarelli. In honor of Malatesta, a street was named after him in the place. Another village in the same province, which was also involved in the uprising, was the village Gallo.

The neighboring municipalities are Gallo Matese, Prata Sannita, Roccamandolfi (IS ), San Gregorio Matese and Valle Agricola.
