The Leutra is an approximately 10 km long river in the Saale- wood - country circuit and in the southern area of ​​the independent city of Jena in Thuringia. It has its source at Milda and then flows in an easterly direction substantially parallel to the A 4 by the Jena Districts Leutra and Maua. It flows east of Maua in the Saale.

The Leutratal is part of the nature reserve Leutratal and Cospoth.

A distinction is Leutra from the same stream, which flows a few miles down the Saale in this.
