Levator labii superioris alaeque nasi muscle

The levator labii superioris nasi alaeque ( " lifter of the upper lip [ and ] of the nasal wing ") is a delicate skin muscle of the nose and upper lip, which is part of the facial muscles. It rises on the frontal process of the frontal process of the maxilla and sets in the skin on the side of the nostril and the upper lip.

The labii superioris M. alaeque nasi draws upper lip upward and expands the equilateral nostril and thus allows humans the " snarl ".
