Levice District
The Okres Levice ( German district of Levice ) is an administrative region in the south of Slovakia with a population of 119 018 (2004, 2001, there were 120 021, of which 82 993 ( 69.1 %), Slovak, 33 524 ( 27.9 %) Hungarian) and an area of 1,551 km ².
Historically, the district is located in the west in the former county bars, to the east in the former county of Hont and a small portion in the south to the place Farná belonged to the former county Gran (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
